About me

Hey! I'm Luca, I'm 18 and from Milan. I got hooked on the tech world when I got my first computer at 11. Since that day, I'm always exploring this cool stuff, looking for something new to learn.

I'm really into cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and backend development. You know, figuring out how things work 'behind the scenes', how to build solid systems... and how to protect them! I find it super interesting.

This drive keeps me learning, often teaching myself. Right now, I'm putting a ton of energy into preparing for the OSCP exam. It's a tough challenge and takes effort, but it's exactly the kind of push I need to grow in this field!

Ever since I was a kid, computers have totally been my thing. I still remember how incredibly excited I was when I got my first laptop! One of the very first things I did was install Minecraft – seriously, it felt like a dream come true.

But the funny thing is, I quickly realized I was more fascinated by how they actually built Minecraft than just playing the game itself. So, I started digging around, trying to understand what programming even was. I messed around with my first few experiments in Python, then played a bit with Java.

I also got really hooked on figuring out how to set up a Minecraft server, and guess what? That little adventure totally opened my eyes to the world of Linux and all its bits and pieces, plus networking, hacking (the ethical kind, of course!), and even AI.

It's this passion that sparked way back then and has never left me – in fact, I'm chasing it with even more energy today!

So, thinking about what's next, my big plan starts with diving into Computer Engineering right here at Politecnico di Milano – you know, build a really solid technical base. But the dream doesn't stop there! Afterwards, my sights are set on heading to Switzerland for my Master's degree, specifically at ETH Zurich. It's renowned globally, and honestly, living in Zurich is a massive personal goal for me.

While gearing up for that, and alongside my studies, I'm actively planning to get certified in key areas like networking, Linux administration, and definitely cybersecurity – aiming for the OSCP is a big priority right now. These aren't just badges;

Ultimately, the whole plan leads to settling in Zurich, launching a career I'm passionate about in the tech field, and really starting a fresh chapter there. That's the vision driving me! (right now!)

So, language-wise, Italian's my mother tongue, obviously! My English is pretty solid – I'm hovering around the C1 level, so quite comfortable there. On top of that, I've actually started teaching myself German. It's definitely a work in progress, but I'm enjoying the challenge, and you know, it fits perfectly with my future plans involving Switzerland!

As for what I'm into, well, you've definitely picked up on the fact that I live and breathe all things tech! But believe it or not, I'm also genuinely fascinated by economics and management. It's stuff I find really interesting, to the point where I actually considered studying economics at university before my love for engineering won out!

And when I manage to peel myself away from the keyboard, I'm also into sports and generally try to keep up a healthy lifestyle. Gotta balance things out, right?
